What is is an online grinds service for Primary, Junior and Leaving Certificate students.

How does it work?

Enrol in a subject and get on demand access to 24 pre-recorded video lessons that cover the entire subject syllabus in one year. Each video lesson covers a specific topic in that subject’s syllabus and is accompanied by a set of expert teacher notes with sample answers. These notes should be available to the student as they watch each lesson. A homework task is assigned after each week’s lesson which the student can complete before they watch the following week’s class.

When can I sign up?

You can enrol at any time during the school year. The 2019/20 school year begins on Monday the 9th September 2019. Access to the course ends on the 31st August 2020.

How much does cost?

The cost of enrolling in one subject is €99. This will give you access to all of the lessons in the course for the full school year. You can enrol in one subject now and add other subjects as you need to throughout the year.

Is there a limit to how many times I can view each lesson?

A student can watch a video lesson as many times as they need to throughout the course of the school year.

Can I enrol even if I am not in an Examination year?

Our Junior Certificate/Cycle courses are suitable for 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students. Our Leaving Certificate courses are suitable for 4th, 5th and 6th year students. *Some courses will be specific to an assigned year if there is a significant difference in course content. *Our Primary School courses are suitable for 4th, 5th and 6th class students.

Can I use instead of attending regular school?

Here at we always recommend that students use our service in conjunction with attending traditional school.

What devices does work on?

Students can gain access to their weekly classes using any regular laptop, desktop computer or mobile device with an internet connection.

Can I study an extra subject at for my State Examinations?

Yes. You can use to take an extra subject as the entire syllabus is completed in one year. However, you must ensure that your school has registered you for that extra subject with the State Examinations Commission.

I am a mature student and I wish to sit my Leaving Certificate exam next year. Can I study with

Yes, but mature students must ensure that they are fully registered as an external candidate. is a tuition only service and plays no role in ensuring that students are properly registered with the SEC for their examinations. More information on the registration process is available at

Can teachers accept project work for the purposes of assessment with the State Examinations Commission?

No. teachers are unable to accept any project work for the purposes of assessment for the State Examinations. If there is a project element in your subject that is required to be submitted before the actual Leaving Certificate in June, our teachers will not be in a position to sign off on this work for you.

Is it possible to sit my Junior Certificate/Cycle exams through if I do not attend full time school?

With the new curriculum changes at Junior Cycle level, school based assessment components such as the 2nd and 3rd year Classroom Based Assessments (CBA’s) will be included as part of the Junior Cycle profile of Achievement (JCPA) awarded by schools after 3 years of study. Can I receive a refund after I have enrolled?
