Darren has been teaching Maths, Science and Physics for 6 years at Beneavin De La Salle College, Dublin. He completed his B.Sc. in Science Education in DCU and has just finished an M.Ed. in Maths Education at St. Patrick’s College, Drumcondra. Darren has been heavily involved in the DCU Access programme teaching the Higher Level Leaving Certificate Maths course. He is a certified Apple Final Cut Pro X film editor and shares his passion for integrating technology into his daily classroom teaching with his students.

A qualified Science, Biology and Maths teacher, Aileen brings over 10 years teaching experience to her role as Junior Cycle Science teacher at homeschool.ie. Aileen has been heavily involved in the roll out of the new Junior Cycle Science Specification in her role as a Junior Cycle Science Advisor working with the NCCA and the Inspectorate on the new Assessment and Reporting practices.

Michelle graduated with a first class honours degree in English and History from UCD, where she went on to achieve a first class honours Postgraduate Diploma in Education. A teacher of English at St. Vincent’s Secondary School, Dundalk, she is also an Examiner for the State Examinations Commission correcting the Leaving Certificate Higher Level English paper. Michelle not only brings her teaching and examining knowledge to her HomeSchool classes but also her experience as an editor and writer. Michelle has previously worked in media in Dublin and London where she worked for publications such as U Magazine, Image and The Gloss.
Emma O'Dell
Junior Cycle Maths
After graduating from the University of Limerick with an Honours degree in Mathematics, Emma is a teacher at St. Aidan’s CBS in North Dublin. During her career she has been heavily involved in the implementation of the new Project Maths course at Junior Certificate level. She is passionate about integrating technology into her own teaching practice and fostering a positive attitude to mathematics in her students.
Tara Sweetman
Junior Cycle Irish
Tara has been teaching Irish for the past ten years. She completed a BA in Irish, followed by a PGDE at University College Dublin, graduating with Honours in both. She works as an examiner with the Department of Education and Skills, marking the written paper, and has gained a valuable understanding of the marking schemes at both Junior and Leaving Certificate Level. Tara is passionate about teaching Irish to students at all levels and is looking forward to sharing her experience and knowledge with HomeSchool.ie.

Having recently obtained a first class honours in her Masters of Science at the National University of Ireland, Galway, Louise has created an outstandingly creative and interactive online Science course for her students.

Emma graduated with a first class honours in her Professional Diploma in Education in English and Geography from the National University of Ireland Maynooth. She also completed a Masters in Irish Literature in English at the University of Ulster. She is interested in the use of technology in education and has created her own class blog and is passionate about empowering students to become self-directed learners.

Having graduated from DCU with a first class honours degree in Science Education and a Masters degree in Chemistry Education, Edelle began teaching in St Kevin’s College, Dublin. She has been teaching Science, Biology and Chemistry for over 7 years. While assuming a management position in her school, Edelle’s love of practical and interactive classes keeps her focus on the achievements and learning environment of students.
Niamh Ní Fhionnghasa

Niamh is an experienced Irish and French teacher currently teaching in a Gaelcholaiste in Lucan, Dublin. She is also a Leaving Certificate Irish Examiner with the State Examinations Commission and has delivered a wide range of Irish language summer courses for mature students in the Gaeltacht. Niamh holds a postgraduate qualification in Translation from DCU and has a passionate interest in integrating technology into her teaching methodologies.
Paul Kelly

Paul is a secondary school teacher of English and History, who founded HomeSchool.ie in 2015 with the aim of supporting students who get sick and become unable to fully attend school. Having completed his MSc. in eLearning at DCU in 2013, Paul was appointed as an Apple Distinguished Educator for Europe, Middle East, India and Africa. Paul is also heavily involved in curriculum development at a national level with his work implementing Junior Cycle reform both as a History and whole-school advisor.

Tracy is an experienced Home Economics teacher with an extensive knowledge of the Leaving Certificate syllabus and marking scheme. A recent graduate from Darina Allen’s Ballymaloe 12 week Certificate Cookery School, Tracy runs her own successful food blog at poundofbutter.ie. Having worked previously with some of Ireland’s leading grind schools, Tracy has written two revision manuals on the Home Economics exam and brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to her lessons.
Máire Mahon
Leaving Certificate French
Máire is employed with the State Examination Commission correcting Leaving Cert French and also in her role as Leaving Cert oral Irish examiner. Having achieved an Honours BA International degree in French and Irish from NUIG, Máire went on to complete a postgraduate diploma in media through the medium of Irish in NUIG, after which she worked with Independent Pictures, a regular contributor of programmes to TG4. She successfully completed an tArd Diplóma san Oideachas, the only university course in the country offering the H-Dip through Irish in NUIG. Teaching for over five years in Dublin, Máire has a wealth of experience in the written, aural and oral aspects of both language courses.

Martina advocates that all parents and guardians should try and follow each online lesson alongside their child as she makes her way through the Primary Maths curriculum.
